Biography
Eleanor is a recent graduate who studied BA (Hons) Jewellery and Silversmithing at Plymouth College of Art, who is currently focused on expanding her practical skills as a jeweller emerging onto the scene.
Her most recent work was focused upon star charts and how they can be used to produce interesting geometric shapes – and how these can be turned into jewellery. Geometric jewellery is now often seen in contemporary jewellery, and she is influenced by this but still want to be seen as standing out with original work. Eleanor has been working primarily in silver and brass, but she is now looking into the possibility of using gold in her work.
Eleanor also creates much smaller and less complicated pieces of jewellery in silver and brass, and has recently started to use gold plating in her work. These smaller affordable pieces are what she has been selling, in multiple galleries around the country. The brass pieces are powder coated, so are finished with an industrially strong solid colour coating.
